Additional Details

The ALS Environmental laboratory in Cincinnati, is an Ohio EPA Voluntary Action Program (VAP) and American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) accredited laboratory providing environmental analytical services to government and private clientele such as the EPA, Departments of Defense and Energy, and numerous environmental engineering firms. In supporting environmental investigation and monitoring programs, we perform a full range of organic and inorganic analyses using SW-846 and EPA methodologies on a wide range of sample matrices including groundwater, surface water, wastewater, soil, sludge, and hazardous waste.

ALS is accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), and offers a comprehensive array of both NIOSH and OSHA analytical methods, as well as EPA, ASTM, AOAC, and innovative methods developed by our own staff that may be adapted to situation-specific requirements in support of industrial hygiene programs, indoor air quality assessment, odor detection, and other types of air testing.

The Cincinnati laboratory is accredited by the NIST/National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP Lab Code 101917-0), by AIHA, and the New York State DOH Environmental Laboratory Approval Program (ELAP) for all asbestos methods offered, plus several other states for drinking water. We also provide asbestos analysis of soils, settled dust and radioactively contaminated samples. We offer other customized microscopy services including particle ID and TEM characterization of nanotubes.
